1987 BMW 325i for sale. Not running, it snapped the timing belt while idling and bent the valves. I've taken the head off and assessed the damage. Pistons and bottom end are good, it just nicked the valve reliefs on two pistons nothing serious at all and no ridge in the bore either! I have a new timing belt kit and all the replacement valves needed to fix the head. One rocker arm also needs to be replaced, otherwise the head is in good shape.
Engine ran well before timing belt broke. Approx. 210Km on the vehicle and drivetrain. New belts and plugs plus some other tune up stuff done just before belt broke.
Auto tranny and worked well
Some rust spots on the body, you can see them all in the pics. Worst parts are the sunroof which is easily replaced and the right front fender which has rusted near the bottom. there's a 2"x2" hole in the body where the fender is rusted too, that can be patched without any trouble for a safety. Otherwise just a few rust spots here and there, nothing serious for an original paint car. Brake lines and fuel lines underneath are in great shape.
Brakes front and rear were done very recently before timing belt broke. If i remember right new pads and rotors front and rear, new brake flex lines and calipers in the front.
Suspension: rode nicely and one balljoint and tie rod were replaced not long ago.
Interior: Tan cloth with no rips. Clean, uncracked dash. Instrument cluster needs to be replaced, i had replaced it once already and it worked for a week and the speedo and odo died again.
All power stuff works: locks, windows, mirrors, heater controls, sunroof, etc.
It would need a windshield and tires to pass a safety otherwise i had checked it and fixed everything else required for a cert. Should pass the etest too, i had done an offline test awhile ago to see if it would pass and there was no problem.
Looking for b.o. it can definitely be put back on the road with a bit of work or part it out if that's your thing.
