Lets see my beater was good untill this winter.

94 Tercel Bought Brand New In 94...

Change The Gas Tank And Fuel Lines
Changed Thermostat
Heater Works Only On Recycled Air (Temp Guage Drops To Cold When Driving)
When Stopped The Temp Guage Shoots Through The Roof, And Heater Works Like A charm Then.
Goes Through At least a litre of Oil A Week.
Had To Charge The Battery About 4 Times Since December.
Shakes Like A Mother F***Er when driving Over 100KM
Driver Side Window Doesn't always go up. Bolt Rattled Loose from the scissors when I had my system.
Driver Side Can't unlock or lock from the outside.
Car Starter Works Woohoo

Other Then That I Miss My Bimmer And If This Ottawa Weather Keeps Up She'll Be Out By Mid March

mine is an 88 mazda mx6, bought it for 500 bucks in 2001, fixed it up for 2500 $ right away ( gas tank , brakes, bearings, tune up , little electrical stuff, suspension...), and never caused me problems ever since, knock on wood ( has 450,000 km on original engine/clutch/tranny so far ).

I've got a 1991 Dodge Colt 200E with 270K km. The engine is a Mitsubishi so she runs like a top but just last week my front right axle went "bad", infact so bad that sometimes the steering wheel shakes so violently I have to stop the car and crank the wheel all the way to the left until I hear a loud crunch noise and all is well. Oh well another month and my baby can come out of the garage! It's so embarrasing when making turns either left or right because this thing cracks and squeels and clicks so loud!!

My winter beater is ghetto...

1991 Buick Riviera

So far...
-Car alarm is bugging out, I have to walk around the car, unlock the passanger door with the key, then do the same on the drivers side dorr before opening any of the doors or else the alarm sounds
-Gas tank door does not open, so I have to carry a hammer with me to pry it open.
-Engine stalls on its own from time to time, while driving, and stopped
-I get like 5 mpg
-And a bunch of other little annoying things

It's all I can afford to have right now. Being a full-time college student with a crappy min wage part-time job doesn't exactly lead to many other options

I can't wait to start driving my bimmer again soon, now more than ever since I've added some new mods while it's been stored for the winter
