UUC shift rod selector, need sum info quick!

tommorow im going to my old machine shop to make a UUC shift rod selector ive got all the blueprints and such but thought came to mind, since im making this is the anything i can do to improve on this

quesitons

A. what material should i use?
i was thinking steel for weight, but then i thought aluminum

B. is there anything in the current design i can improve on?

the bond facility has helped me out a tonne already!

i dont think he will get back to me by tommorow cause im going to go tommorow to make it

i think if time permits im also going to make those pins instead of using bolts like i origionally planned to use

Use stainless steel. You will want the weight to make the shifts smoother.
I put a Rogue SSK in my 528i and it came with the rod, and it was heavy.

i decided to use hardned steel cause it was free gonna finnish it tommorow then send it to get powdercoated so it dosent rust, its commin along pretty good
