The KSD is allows you to find out the flat rate (number of hours) that BMW says that doing a certain task will take. If you decide to bring something to the dealer or mechanic to repair, you can check that they aren't screwing you. If you are doing it yourself, it will give you an idea of how long it should take you (though you may be slower than the hours if you haven't done it before, don't have the correct tools, etc.) It also lists the defect codes so you know what the codes on the repair estimate from the dealer means. Finally, it will give you the recommended wheel/tire combinations for the E36, E38, E39, E46, E52, and E53 automobiles. This CD covers the E53, E52, E46, E39, E38, E36, E34, E32, E31, E30, E28, E24, E23, E21, E12, E09, E03, and 114 models.
