i guess he meant operational wise, it's the same as manual mode in most automatic transmissions. and i think to some extent, it is.

and this is especially true on the SSG (or the "SMG" on non-M model).

Just f*ckin' drive 'er like you own it James -it's like good sex; learn from your mistakes, push it a bit farther each time, you know yer a God when you make 'er scream your name (Troy!) or the bitch leaves scratches (trophies dude -I'm jealous). You'll do fine -it's probably no comparison to your old e30. I hope you buy that shitter for $500 so we can stuff it in the shop next year and do a 4.0 swap... mmm the stuff dreams are made of. who was that dude at Mosport w/the 4.0 supercharged in his e30 that kept blowing the RR tire on the last turn?? You were right there last time we were there and I just heard the story -he still came in 2nd or 3rd. That baby hummed man. Have fun and say hi buddy. ciao -Troy

Nothing is difficult James. Remember your first sex?! ...the screaming, the scratches, all that soap wasted in the shower... wish we had a garage man...
