I think they are better than nothing. They make a difference in nasty salted roads. I wish I had em for the fog lights too, and more control over them. Right now, I have to remember to switch the lights off before washing the window, if I don't want them to spray.

If the headlamps get dirty due to road crap like salt, and snow, you mean to tell me that your hood is perfectly clean????????
DAMN....had no idea that was physically possible.
Its basically the times when your car is clean or semi clean, and your windshield is a tad dirty from either bird droppings, film, etc.. I like to have clear vision when I drive, so any little thing on my windshield bothers me. Since I don’t have control when the spray jets come on (they spray every 5th spray I believe). So when my windshield gets sprayed and wiped, my hood gets the overspray from the jets and the dust and everything else accumulates from the sprayed area on the hood…

Don't have them on my 3 but they came standard on our 7. The do a good job cleaning the lights in the winter time. They come on every 5 times you clean the windshield. There is no separate button for them. They get all the fluid all over the front of the car tho.

i read somewhere that the headlight washers can be controlled via the euro headlight washer relay or somethign like that.... anyhow do a search and it should come up somewhere...
