HIDs?

I just got ellipsoids and in the near future I will be looking at getting HID's for them, Im just wondering what price range im looking at and what exactly to get. Im looking to spend the least amount possible, but still get something of quality.

Anyone know where to find a good kit? Anyone selling a used kit? It will be going in e30 US Ellipsoids, Trevor I know u can help me here. Just trying to gather some info.

Thx guys,

Seb

Randy is ur man.

its not cheap man, dont cheap out i was going to. But with the cheaper kits ur gonna have to cut wires and glue the blub to the socket of the headlight.

Not only that the focus could be off, depending on which bulb u try to use.

Unless you can find a plug and play kit made for the 9006 blub, then dont go for it. Randy's kit is good, if u search on the net, u'd find mcCulloch has a bad name. But there are a few ppl on the board with the kit and have no problems, plus there is warrenty if anything.

Betray has a kit that he was selling pretty cheap, $250 but i think one of his ballast got ****ed in shippin, but i think it has warrenty so you can probably get a new one.

If you want to, get that kit from betray, and get the ballast replaced. The only problem i see is that its 8000k.

I got a 5300k plug n play kit for $450. It's a McCulloch (spelling?) kit and I have no problems with it so far. I got the h1 bulbs but there so no price difference if you need 9006. The price changes if you go higher on the k, like 5300k to 8000k.

I got it from scummybear. He was very good with the sale. He ordered it for me, had it shipped the day I paid him and two or three days (i can't remember now) later got it delivered to my front door. He e-mailed me about the status of the package and when it was delivered, called my cell to confirm if I had received it. VERY professional!!! He stayed on top of it until I had the package in my hands. I installed it the sameday I received without any problems and called him back to let him know that I loved it and I would buy from him again for another car.
It came with everything needed and very well packaged. He is on this board as scummybear. Hope this helps...and don't forget to post pics!
