That was a good catch, nice.

Note the CF hatch but stock hood. Stock 350Z hoods are aluminum, and basically the same weight as a CF one. Anyone with a CF hood on a 350 is just trying to stunt.

nice save, but what wuz up with him not being able to stage himself?

the other guy ran a 9.8 at 85 mph, hahaha, because just before he slamed the brake.

i wonder what happened, if that car had enough power to spin the wheels that late he should just put real high gears and go to the saltflats, that car could do like 300-400mph.

Aluminum is much heavier than a CF panel of the same dimensions.

S2000's are the same - extremely light aluminum hood (~12 lbs or so I think). The CF versions are MUCH lighter.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm not saying that it's worth using a CF hood - saving 5 - 10 lbs off a hood is going to make VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE in a street car or even a mild track car.

2nd EDIT: Regarding the video - That's a nice 350Z! and what a fantastic save!!!
