I was quoted 2500 for my car about a month before I bought it, then $3250 after I bought it, by the same company. I've heard a few reasons why it went up (not limited to car insurance either)....Sept 11, premiums, lots of fraud, companies going broke...

insurance companies are crooks! all crooks i say! *shakes cane*

i better ask mine if they have any hidden surprises for me, because lately my rates have been going down $10/month or so every other month.
