Question lexan glass?

does anybody make lexan glass for an e36? back window side windows?

is the cost worth the weight reduction?

it might be of some use if you plan on FULLY tracking the car.

The only company that i know of that sells lexan glass is MA SHAW, check them out at www.mashaw.com but i believe they only have it for 2 doors, last i checked, they even have lightweight doors and everything, but if you wanna be pimpin, get BULLET PROOF glass, and besides, you have better use for it if you ever plan on driving down to the states!

yeah i was just checkin sum specs not really a huge weight reduction for the money, mabey it could be a mod to do when there nothing else to do....

it's not worth it unless you need the windows to be shatter-resistant. They'll yellow over time a bit, and are easy to scuff up by accident. I had lexan glass cut for me by an autoglass shop for my fiero kitcar many years ago, but only because I had to.
I'm still not sure if it's legal on a roadcar either

Try to get ahold of some LTW or Fiberglass/CF doors instead for weight savings

thanks guys

yeah if i was going to do lexan for weight i was going to do just the back glass and the rear doors 1/4 side

wouldnt really have much effect except on my wallet

doors are deff possibility but not for 900 for one!

Lexan is illegal for the street. Not really worth it in my opinion, especially when there are so many other places to spend that money. (aka brakes, you will need to stop eventually)
