WRX no fun

I was heading down 16th ave from 9th line tonight on my way to Sobeys for some midnight grocery shopping. 2 cars turn onto 16th in front of me, a Maxima and a WRX wagon. The Maxima driver sux and changes lanes right in front of me. The WRX goes past it in the right lane, so I duck in behind. So I figure that this may be a good opportunity to find out what these rice grains are all about. I pull up beside him at 90kph and glance over. The driver sees me, so I start laying on the gas (still in 3rd gear). C'mon guy...let's go!!! I slowed to give him another chance. The loser backs way off..... didn't even try.

Anyway, to release the tension, I switched the trac off and drove like a maniac the rest of the night. When I got home, my wife was wondering why I was taking so long unloading the car. All the groceries in the trunk were mixed up and I had to rebag almost everything...hee hee

ha ha ...good one!

C'mon though...if you drive a WRX, it's your duty to address all challenges. Otherwise, you should be driving the non-turbo SLH (slow like hell).

I dont understand why you want to race a Wrx. Be carefull you dont pick a modded one or you will be upset. The highway is your only chance since a 540 is a monster at high speeds while the Wrx is not.

I'll race anything! Win or lose!! I won't get upset....

After reading some of the other posts about WRX, I may have a chance.

hmm, are you sure about that guys? I personally saw two things that say that wouldnt happen with two good drivers. 1st thing.. i saw a video of a 97 m3, and a 01WRX, and the WRX got what seems like 2 cars by 0-100. Second thing ive seen is in person, a WRX pull on a m3 on the street a while back on burnhamthorpe close to dixe.

Now, a 540 will be very very lucky to beat the same year m3, and so im not saying top end they cant, but i think 1/4mile your looking at a loss more often then a win anyway.

227hp 220pft 3000pounds. its not that slow! (not that fast too)

See.....as far as I'm concerned, there's only ONE WAY to find out! Never turn down the CHALLENGE!!! Proudly defend the honour of you car's badge!!! heh heh heh... don't disgrace your car, even if it's a piece of rice, by backing down pussy footed, from a V8 like that loser last night.

The 2001 was not a turbo charged. Maybe it was a 2002.

It was a WRX, so it should be turbo.

i dont get why people call all the cars cept bimmers, benz or any other euro cars a rice..

I would have refered to the WRX as RICE, even if he kicked my A$$!

I think we need to define RICE once and for all. To me, RICE is any japanese /oriental car. A German car would be a KRAUT (Sauerkraut) or BRATWURST or even a SAUSAGE. An American car would be a HAMBURGER.

I'd buy a 540 wagon...for my wife!!! ha ha
Seriously, a sporty wagon is a pretty good compromise IMO.

The real question is..why would you buy a turbo anything, if you aren't going to use it!!!!
