VIS CF hood and painted roof

Here's some pics to share now that I've added the CF hood and painted the roof black. I got the trunk a couple months ago and finally got the hood on the weekend. The hood fit like a glove (a lot better than the trunk). I'm not using the stock hood shocks as they are far too stiff for the light hood. I would say the performance improvement is very minimal but noticealbe, particularly at highway speeds. It is compairable to having an empty gas tank vs. a full tank, IMO.

One thing I have to say for VIS is that the shipping materials are awesome. The trunk and hood were VERY well packed - I was quite pleased.

I ordered the parts through Automotive Warehouse in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Very good service!

Hm.. it doesn't look bad.. it kinda looks weird though, have you ever thought of making the top half of the car black? I think that would look better, duncha think? Like that door line that goes across the car..

Julian I think you should get those Photochop skills going again and show the man......and slap some dark wheels on there too!

Where is the wheels man!

And hioctain I work at Automotive Warehouse! Why didn't you buy the parts from me? BTW I think an E36 M3 front would top it off too!

Cool suggestions! Yes I'm going to order some dark rims (have no clue which ones). I thought of painting it like you've mentioned but I thought this looked more original...but that does look good.

I was thinking of just getting a lip spoiler and the M3 sides. lots of choices and so little cash!

I bought the parts from Eddie. He was my contact through Budds. I'll send you a pm next order!

original... looks much better with the painted roof.

In regards to Gamite's chop... you might want to check out this thread on 2-tone paint jobs over here: http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/show...threadid=39563
