E30 'is' & ///M speaker sizes

I went into future shop and they told me that 5X7's will fit in both the front and back of my car, i trusted them cuz they knew that there was a difference in the stock 'i' and 'is' speakers. so i bought 2 pairs of 5X7's

anyone know if they will fit in my 89 325is?

i'm having doubts now

NO! Only 5 1/4 speakers will fit.
NickP uses 6 1/2 boston acoustics up front. They will fit.

5 1/4" is the size ya

You can make some larger ones fit depening on their mounting depth and how much you want to cut...
