My next door neighbour got pulled over at Darknights in his 94 corrado vr6 and got 3 tickets. One for failing to surrender his license another for exhaust tip being to big and the third for the radar detector. It all depends on the cop I have heard some just take it away and others take it and ticket. peace boys

Canada's messed eh?
Problem is, even with the new Spectre they can detect your detector. V1 can detect the radar in a specific range before the spectre will detect the v1 in your car. But you gotta be fast to turn off the v1, and it's hard when you wonder if the blip is just some cop going by on the other side of the road, etc.
