is it just my car or does bmw radio sucks

i am not sure if is just my car or all bmws are like this. the radio is really bad. i can hear alot of back ground noise "sseehhhh sseehhhh". is not the channal because i try other channals and they are all like that.

hah, i think there is this "dolby" button thing where it clears the music up but it lowers the sound and gets rid of the shhhh noise. I know my e36 had it but cant remember what my e46 has.

i have the hk sound system and i have a button that makes music sound more 3D. is it because of that?

doesnt seem to happen to 'my' car. i have the HK system too. try that button w/ tha pic of a speaker on it on and off.

*i couldnt seem to make the sentence properly.

That's weird. Mine is fine, it just seems like the radio isn't putting out all the frequency range that most aftermarket stereos do. It just seems like it is missing something. Oh well, I haven't found a factory stereo system that I liked.

-Really? I like the sound system in the mom's civic its got Pioneer speakers!!! -Although I think all civics came with Pioneer speakers not sure, Rob might be able to clarify that.....

The Alpine 6 CD Shuttle is great

Honestly in my opinion the bmw (not hk) systems are not that great compared to other cars. The germans i guess concentrated more on everything else rather than just the radio which is a good thing.

I have the HK system in my car and it's fine. Actually better than I expected. I've had other people in the car listen to it and they were impressed as well. Don't know what's up with your car AZN330? Good luck.

im answereing fo my bro(azn330i )
do you have the prob where the rear speakers seems to screw up if you put the volume up?? doesnt seem like it has to be very loud to make it do that.
