noise from under car

so i got this weird rattling hissing noise under my car, so i stopped by my muffler guy, he did a quik check but couldn't fix it since he had no time, said it sounds like a loose heat shield on the cat, he thinks he can drill a hole and weld it on, you guys think its fixable? or do i have to get a new cat? how much are cat's?

finally got it checked, and the problem was actually the flange gauskets, one of them cracked and was causing noises, so i ordered some new gauskets for both pipes, i knew i heard some kinda air leaking noise from my mid pipes.. hopefully this fixes it all

what kind of rattling sound?

Sometimes when I take my foot off the gas the car jumps a little and I hear a rattling coming from under the car...
