Speeding ticket

I just got a speeding ticket for 138km in 100 zone and the fine is $288. Any ideas on how to fight this one?

Good thing it was the 3.0 not the 4.4 liter X5!

last resort: make a court appt. if the cop does show up your home free.
if cops shows up, question the cop thru the judge ..when was the last time the radar's battery was replaced. radars with weak batteries tend to give out false readings. give it a try, nothing to lose now but your time. good luck.

Celino and barnes.....LoL

Have u called X-Coppers ?
Where were you ? (road)
What time of day ?
How much traffic was around you ?
Any cars close to you travelling @ the same speed ?
What did u tell the cop (reason for speeding ?)
is it your car you were in ?
Have you looked @ the ticket to ensure no ERRORS ?

Have you hear of the X cop Paul Martin? He's really good, everyone in woodbridge has him on speed dial.

Thank you for all of the input. Wil post what happens in the months to come. Hopefully help some else reduce their fine.

Will take more ideas about the court part though.

Kind of funny when you think that at the track today we were doing 160 in the rain..............

ticket

Good luck on the ticket fight Mike. Maybe you can get off completely!?! Even a lesser fine would be worth it. Was the cop at least polite with you? No attitude I mean?

I like the idea of canceling the appointment last minute. How many times can you do that and does anyone have any experience with this?

The cop said almost nothing and did not ask for insurance or registration. Just here is your ticket.

When I blasted out of there he caught up to me a few KM later and just followed me. He stayed .5 k back and watched. I think he must have been dummer than I thought.
