Door speakers

Anyone repalced the door speakers in their E36? What size and brand work the best? The reason i'm asking is because ever since I got this car the driver side door speakers (both) have never worked and I don't know what the problem is. I'm thinking maybe one of them is blown so I might as well buy something decent to replace them with. Also, these will not be powered by an amp so give me an idea of what works in this situation. Thanks guys and if you have any pics of of your install i'd love to see them.

Yup, the pioneer speakers will be enough to get the job done without an amp hooked up to them. I now have fosgate amps hooked up to the same speakers, they sound very good. I will soon be changing them to Infinity speakers. So if you want just your basic sound then pioneer is best for the buck.

Apline decks work great
or clarion
If ur on a budget, coaxials will save u some money, but if ur looking for some good sQ components
boschamnn's are great, best bang for the buck
the larger the mide base woofer the more mid bass you will get, so it depends on the sound u are looking for

Do you have both tweets and mids on the door or just the tweets?
