BMWXenon.com & other xenons

Just curious if anyone has bought the quite expensive xenon bulbs from http://www.bmwxenon.com? I bought a pair of Showoff Krypton bulbs from an import store near here for about $50-60. They work quite well, better than the stock lights.

Are the BMWXenon.com's lights better?

Would you all consider everything else as "rice"?

BMW Xenon is a scam!! do not buy!!
jimmy540i is selling you $20 bulbs for a higher price!
Check out his rep on other car forums and you'll see nothing but complaints!
You're better off buying something locally here or at canadian tire that's blue because that's all these are, cheesy blue tinted halogens. I'm so glad you didn't get fooled into paying jimmy for his lights.

Seriously? I've been shooting e-mails with him back and forth and he almost has me convinced. Supposedly his bulbs are 700 more K than the ones I've got in there and a lot brighter, but then again there is no real proof. He says people love them...

Then again I wasn't planning on buying them for awhile since they are mad expensive ($100 U.S. for one set) which is sorta ridiculous. Got mine for $50 cdn and they are nice and bright.

Higher K doesn't necessarily mean brighter.

4300K is about as bright as you can get.

6000, and 8000's trade off the extra K for a bluish tinge.

If brightness is you most important factor, go with the 4300's.

If you want 'bling', then go with the 6-8000K bulbs.
(You may attract some unwanted attention from the Local Authorities though).

p.s. Randy's got some excellent Xenon's for sale.
Look for the thread in the 'For Sale' section.
