318 IS lowering help!

just bougt a 95 bmw black 2 door 318 is

im used to souping and lowering honda accords and integras...

i need to lower this one but dont know what route to go...
i want it as low as possible but want to spend 4-5 bills..

what brands are good.....where can i get a deal......is 2.25 inches low enough or no..i notice the front needs to be lowered a lot more than the back from stock..i plan to put 18's on it or turn it into an m3...i got front clears already....


is there a meet or anyhting comming up where we can meet and exchange ideas? im new to the bmw scene...please help..thanks

scarorough man..

well i only want to spend 400-500 dollars so maybe springs is the better way to go...i dont have 2 grand for the whole system i only want to lower it for 4-5 bills.

and i need advice cause im new to bimmers so dont know where to throw the money.

im thinkin of turning it into an m3...i need a spoiler...and rims..and this week i need it lowered..lol

If you got the cash, get the coilovers. If not, i would definately go with Eibach sportlines. Very nice drop. Had it on my '98 318is.

thanks..i called and left a message...il go see them tomrow or sunday if they r open.

my question to anyone is..how low go to? 2.25 inches?...more?
i want it sitting really low...with 18's on it.

I think 2.25 inches is pushing it. esp with 18" wheels. The eibachs on my ride were 1.5 and 1.8 in the front (approx), with 17" wheels and it was perfect.

haha... j/p foo... anyways I'm in nor cal.. long ways from where all you guys are from...

but 2.25 inches? thats a lot.. unless you WANT to take out the bottom of your car.. I'd save up and get coil-overs... and slam it for shows... riding too low isnt good anyway...

look man..

if you want to have a sick car, you cant be all conservative with the drops

i have an integra and in the summer its dropped 2.5-3 inches on 16's

my friends accord was dropped 2.5 inches on 17;s

u have to ride low man...u have to.
