ICV issue

hey i got his damn icv (idle control valve) issue and still dont know how to tackle the problem, ane remedies to this problems, thanx in advance

does it idle to high about 1500 to 2000 rpms if thats what your talking about i turned the screw in it and brought it down to 1100 rpms . i still need to get new one but it works for now

if the car idles up fopr no reason try to clean it if that does not work than your in for another one

Most likely theres blockage in the passge of the IACV.You can check the valve by jumping the battery voltage to the windings,that should trigger the solenoid and change the engine speed,if the engine speed doesnt change then just check for blockage before you replace the ICV.

Sometimes the problem is in the idle control valve module, right next to the main computer. If you put a new ICV and it still has the problem, then check the module...I have a few of them for sale...
