Catalytic Converter replacement questions
My catalytic is shot, it still passes emissions but it's been pretty much dead since i have bought the car.
I want to replace it this comming week and was wondering if i can just use a single catalytic converter instead of the twin ones like bmw comes with stock.
I've converted my exhaust system to a single pipe instead of dual pipes, so there wont be any problems there, but i was wondering if i'll experience any problems running with a single cat or not.
should i bother with a free flowing one or just get a regular one?
my mechanic quoted me approx $70 for the cat with $20 installation.
i'm getting a bunch of other things repaired as well so i figured i might as well get this out of the way.
other things i'm doing are adding brembo cross drilled rotors, getting my vanos and exhaust checked out because i hear some sort of clinking sound still, getting my suspension lowered in the rear (finally found somebody who can figure out my coilovers), and getting an oil change =)
