we have a customer at our shop that has a 2001 m3
it was the silver one at the bimmer cruize that had the 19 hre rims.
his winter rims have spacers on them and with the amount of power that we have put in to that car when he drives hare he rips that spacers right off the car
he is on his 3rd set of spacers in the rear and they are about 430 for the pair
they are made by h&r and they are the best ones that we can find.
they are only 10 mm so if youn have alot of hp then i would not recommend to put the bigger ones on

How do you rip the spacers right off the car?
With spacers you should be running the strongest bolts/studs you can find, and properly torque them to 80ft-lbs or so, I wouldn't put the blame on the spacers.

Im running H&R 8mm up front to fit my 17x7.5s. They seem to be excellent quality. I searched for a long time to find reasonable prices. The best price i found was from Option auto (www.optauto.com) I got my 10mm's for only 47.95! I picked up custom bolts for 18.95 (8 of them) from H&R recommended Tacoma Speedometers. So only $70.00 total!! Thats less than most places want for only spacers w/o shipping.

increasing unsprung weight is unless it is offset by other upgrades.
