E36 is much better looking car than the Omega and handles better too. In North America it was rebadged as a Cadillac catera and it got shitty reviews. I think Cadillac discontinued that model.
It was a boring looking that Catera/Omega.
CTS on the other hand is pimp

Yes Caterra is based on Omega, but they are two different cars.
In europe they got both Omega and Caterra.
Opel and GM are affiliated, so Caddy built a small caddy - Caterra and borrowed it from Opel.
Anyway, I never liked the Omega. The biggest cab company in Estonia has Omega cabs, so they are boring. Yes interiors are big, but they are very poorly made.
The only Opels I liked were the last generation Senator( i know that they are outdated by now) and Calibras (still looks cool)
ohhh and cant forget old Mantas. I had the craziest driving experiences in that car.
that catera was a death trap
my buddy used to have one...everytime it would be in for service the guys would be in awe cuz he didn't have more problems then he did with it cuz all the other ones were just falling apart
Omega's are nice cars man go for it. My parents neighbour had an Omega Mv6 and they were very happy with the car. They were so pleased with Opel that they also bought a Vectra 2.5 CDX and a Vectra 1.8 (GL I think) on the side. Good thing is you wont have problems with parts or anything else since they are pretty common all around europe, and Omega's are RWD aswell (if i remember correctly) so you can still have some fun
