Bryan, word of advice... now-a-days there is no such thing as a "bad" alarm (current models considered). The alarm is only as good as the install. Make sure you're skilled at doing it and don't leave any connections un-soldered, or they'll steal the alarm itself!

Thanks for the advice Randy, I appreciate it. I may just consider paying someone else to do the install for me. However, I've heard some horror stories from people who have had their car alarms installed at car audio shops. Can you recommend anyone that is reliable for a resonable price?

I think the alarm I had on my car last year qualifies as a "bad" alarm. It's a $50 bulldog alarm from wallmart or something

Bryan

On a side note, anyone have the wiring diagram for the Clifford inteillguard 100? I've asked lots of shops and no one can even find the diagram for this thing.

Thanks!

Also, Sok check your EMAIL! I need a reply from you.

Bry, for installation I have a shop for you. The owner has an E36 318is, and he knows his shit.

Safe & Sound Installations
416-757-7233
180 Nantucket Boulevard,
Scarborough, ON
M1P 2N9

It's right at Kennedy & Lawrence in Scarborough, they do a lot of custom stuff, and aren't a huge place. The bay they use literally only holds 2 cars, and he overlooks both projects all the time. They will be completely re-doing my sound system and alarm in a few months, I don't think I'd trust anyone else with my car in pieces (I've had BAD experiences with these types of places).

What's the owners name? And do I get a discount if I mention your name? How much does he charge for install approximately?

Thanks very much, you're a life saver!

Bry

Ouch, can't remember his name right now. He's the one who walks with the phone though, I've never called and got anyone but him. Short name, like 4 letters...

I can't remember how much he charges for alarms. I doubt he would remember me too much, as he only did one (rather involved though) install back in May of last year. Try it though, as we chatted for quite a while. Say the guy with the red E30 that had strobes put in last year sent you, there can't be too many of us.

Ok thanks! I'll give him a try and hopefully I can finally install this thing.

Hey Sok,

I tried contacting you but you haven't replied for a long time.

I want to return your alarm. I bought another one off a member and before I did that, the alarm you sold me was tested, it did not turn on. We simply connected it to the red wire which is the power supply. It's also missing the antenna and siren.

I even contacted Clifford directly and they wouldn't provide a wiring diagram for me. I couldn't find a single shop in the GTA that could wire this thing so I want to return it. Let me know when I can return it to you.

Thanks,

416 886-0989

Bryan
