Indicators not working

My indicators stopped working all of a sudden. The fuse went, so I put a new fuse in, and the indicators works, but only for a short while and then the fuse goes again. Sometime ago I put in clear bulbs, and thought maybe one of the bulbs is not connecting properly, causing a short and thus blowing the fuse. I checked all the bulbs and connections, seems fine. However when I put a new fuse in, the right rear indicator blinks very dimly, at first I thought it's not blinking at all, but having a close look it seems it is. Taking the bulb and connector out and testing it in a buddis car works perfectly. Anyone know what might be wrong?
