Belts tightened. No drain.

It was the battery. 1year old. Sheesh.

I have the same problem with my car it doesn't matter how long it is run with in a few hours of being off it is dead again. I know how frustrating it is it's driving me CRAZY!!!!!

Gte your battery checked. Its free at canadian tire.

The battery is 120 bucks though.

Fil thinks it is a short somewhere so when the car is off something is draining the battery.

I was having the same problem. Turned out to be my alarm though.... go figure. Fixed now. (thank god, it was getting REALLY irritating)

"Fil thinks"!!!??? No, i'm telling you there IS a short! Now we just have to find where!!!

P.S. My car has the same problem, no short but wont start after a few days...and i couldnt find the problem all summer

I've never had this problem, but a buddy with a 91 318is had the exact same problem, turns out the door locks are also heated, when you pull up and hold on the door handles, it turns them on. As it turned out, they were staying on all the time, thus draining his battery after his car was turned off. He ultimately had a ex BMW mechanic find and fix the problem.

Just another possible area to look at.
