325IX info requested.

Hello all, it's been a while since I last posted... Have been having too much fun driving my 98, 328is in the Snow... These HAKKA's are GREAT... but all good things must come to an end...

ANy who, due to recent financial situation I will be selling my bimmer, and looking for an E30 325is. Have been hunting around for a nice E30 wil LOWER milage, but not seen one with decent milage...

Also, I've seen this Euro Spec 87 325IX, recently imported for Europe. Looks nice with 167K for $6K. I have been looking around for 87ix euro spec info on the web with not much success.. So just wanted your feedback...

Also if anybody wants to buy my car or has a E30 325IS (must be five spd) please respond here.

I haven't decided on the price yet for my 328is..
- 106K
- 5 spd
- all the toys
- Alpine CD deck
- it's kinda "gun-metal" black... BMW colour!!

Thanks
Shane

Could you please give me more info about your ride? i.e. milage, condition, any mods, and when you say leather recaros, are you talking about stock IS seats?? I would love to see some pics too if possible, you can e-mail me at shanebawa@hotmail.com.

What modifications limitations does one have with an IX ??

One of my dream modifications for an E30 (and I am sure a lot of you have the same dream) would be the ability to drop a E36 M3 engine..... I wonder if one can still do this with an IX?? probably not!!! and thats the only downfall I see with an IX... correct me if I am wrong here...

AM I the boss of VLS...??? what does that mean!!!

Regards
Shane

Contrary to poular belief the majority of the is seats were NOT made by recaro. Some were but they do look different than the regular is seats so i doubt they are recaros. I could be wrong about yours but everyone with an e30 seems to tell everyone they have recaros when they dont.

Vls is the dearership in rexdale area. They have nice 1987 BMW 325xi WITH 160 XXX KM they want $7000. They imports some cars from Europe and sell them here in Toronto. I just had in mind it was you one of their guys .

Bck to the topic. Isn't IX expensive to maintain?

Ya, I did stop by VLS to see the IX, but don't know much about the IX, and specially a one from europe. I kinda find it hard to think that an 87 can only have 167K on it!!! Some what skeptical...

but has anybody here dealt with VLS..??

Shane, from everything I've read, the M50 or S50/52 swap is impossible with an ix. Great car, but rare, meaning, specific parts for the ix are likely more $ than a std RWD.

Hope all is well, as I haven't been to an MR2 meet in a while. Kyle's car is almost done...but I'm holding off getting a new car now til the Solstice comes out...so will continue to beat on the 318 for a while.
Cheers
Mark
