e30 brake rotors

If I were looking to buy front and rear rotors for my e30. What price would I be looking at per rotor? And in your opinions, is it worth it to buy cross drilled or slotted rotors?

I would suggest Power Slot rotors all around. Not as harsh on your pads as X-drilled...besides drilled rotors have less pad to rotor contact.

I sell them at my work for your car:

FRONT: $93.86+tx/each
REAR: $87.05+tx/each

I also sell Power Stop (X-drilled) front rotors only but they are about $120+tx/each. But I don't like them.

Stock Rotors are just as good as the drilled or slotted.. sometimes better!

Go with ATE

The pads are more important then the rotors.. and most of all your calipers must be in excellent working condition

Don't forget to bleed the breaks completely.. i just got a bavauto break bleeder if you need to borrow it.

You should also add stainless steel braided brake lines as a good upgrade compared to the stock lines.

You can find brembo rotors for around 110 front and 85 rear... this place custom drills the rotors for alittle more.

I say you stick to stock unless you like the looks.

ok another question.....is there anyway to tell if I need new rotors, other than I suppose just measuring the thickness? My brakes have always worked perfectly, I guess I just take them for granted. I do have new ( almost new ) pads in the front and rear. They also never shake and don't make any noise.

Won't rotors start to warp when they get too thin because they don't dissapate the heat as well?

chk ur rotors. i have the same problem thought it was the brake pad chaged it and it still squeek lke a bitch.

I have the same problem, it squeeks, not all the time, but usually. replaced the rotors, stopped squeeking for a while.

I think i'm going to have to replace my pads and if that doesn't fix it, lube up my calipers.
