My first real kill

Today I coming home from work and there's a stoplight in a 55 (mph) zone. The thing about this stoplight is the left lane has about 400 feet of acceleration before you have to merge over the the right. So there are about 3-4 cars in the right lane and I decide to get into the left lane. Low and behold there is a new mini cooper as the first car. I decided not to make eye contact because I usually try not to race on this road. So anyways the light turns green and I take off, the mini driver didn't expect I think and I got in front of him after beating him .

Well as I'm going down the road my left turn comes and the mini is still behind me...I'm thinking wtf? So I keep going and turn into my neighborhood and hes still behind me. So i'm thinking this guy's gonna kick my ass or something. Well anyways we stop and he talks to me and he asked me to race again...I was like "shrug why not."

So we go to a 4 lane road and we are looking for a good stoplight. All of them kept turning green so I was like "Screw it lets just stop and go." So we stopped in the middle of the road (this was at like 10:30pm the roads were EMPTY). And he's like "ok on your go."

So I'm counting down "3...2...1...GO!" And we take off. I didn't really launch I just went and he peeled out for a about a second. So I take off faster than him and then he finally gets some traction but it was too late, by the time we hit 70mph I was about 3 car lengths in front of him.

We slowed down and he was like "dude wtf did you do your engine?" I was like "bone stock with 215,000 miles." He was liek WTF?? (and btw I do have 215,000 miles bone stock . So thats my kill story.

might have been the regular cooper, cuz the cooper s is supposed to be pretty fast, awesome kill tho

i have a little trick i use for those streets where the lane is ending and i have to get in front of cars at the light... what i do is stop about 2 car lengths behind the line, and when i see the other light turning red i already start to go counting 3 seconds down in my mind so by the time it turns green i already have enough speed so that no matter what car is lined up at the light ill be able to cut in front of it without a problem

Nice Kill

I test drove a cooper S the other day. I personally wouldnt buy it, just because i think its ugly on the inside, i hate the tach and speedo, and could be a tad bit bigger for my use.
The sound system is awesome in it, and its actually almost like driving a bmw, probably the closest you could get.
its got the bmw sound and turning capabilities, its so tight.

It is a pretty cool car, but i would just buy a new bimmer!

Are you serious? I've never heard that. Why would BMW license an engine from dodge?
