2000 323 vs. 2000 328 vs. 2001/2002 320 vs 2001 325

So I need some input. I'm looking to buy a CPO BMW and I'm looking to spend around $30,000 CDN. So these are my possible choices:

2000 323 vs. 2000 328 vs. 2001/2002 320 vs 2001 325

There's some 328s similar in price to 323s, but that seems cheap. Too good to be true?

A 2001 325 is around $3000-$4000 more than a 2000 323,which is out of looking range, but its a bigger engine and 1 year newer, so 1 year more of warranty. Is it worth it?

320s will be newer than the 323s but they usually have no options and the engine has a lot less torque. HP is very close.

What should I get?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Actually, the 323's and the 325's BOTH have the 2.5L inline 6er engines. The 323 is a very underrated car! I have an E36 323 and it's pretty quick (15.0 in the 1/4). Out of those cars I would say depending on what you want to do here are my choices:

1) You are NOT modding and just driving the thing - get a 328

2) You are planning on doing mods - get the 323 and have some cash to spend

Don't get a 320i.......no power what so ever, and the 325's are just newer they are basically the same as the 323 just cost more! Hope that helps a little bit. I am sure you'll get more help too!

328's are modifiable... just in case you change your mind.. they pack more power than the 325 or 323 (bigger engine, more torque)

is that stock? my 328is is 15sec quarter bone stock! 5 speed manual... light mods should get it into 14.2 (e36 m3 range)

M52 engine all the way!!! 323, 328, 97-99 M3, share engine blocks

No my car is not stock. I have a 3:15 rear diff and a dinan software upgrade. The car is a high 14 sec car but my intake was screwing up at the track (little ghetto thing I had on there because I didn't have time to put the stock airbox in) and it needed inspection II, which it now has. I just bought a bunch of dinan stuff as well as UUC pullies. It will be a mid 14 sec car which is good enough for me because I don't want to spend 8g's on a s/c.

I can handle a 328 any day of the week no problems.........however I have yet to race one with more then just intake and exhaust.
