Cool

The car is not poorly tuned (by whos standards?), it is properly tuned for the response that I want from it. As far as the engine weight thing goes, I was looking at transplanting the motor from an s50 + the trans( getrag 240 and 260 models have a 10 degree offset preventing direct mount up. Would require modding the linkage. A PITA) Everything included an additional 250lbs. according to a mechanic friend selling the entire setup for 3 grand (22k on the whole thing). The guy is a factory(Munich) trained BMW mechanic and tuner. The transplant would also require replacement of or relocation of brake master, altenator, and some have suggested the steering rack. All not included in the purchase of the motor. All these add up in $ and weight. As far as putting my car on a chassis dyno, I DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH HP MY CAR MAKES. I AM VERY HAPPY JUST DRIVING IT AND DOING OCCASSIONAL MODS. The only time I would be concerned about hp and torque figures would be if I were dragging the car @ the track. And it is a well known fact that BMW's do not make good drag racing cars( watched a 2003 M3 get his tail kicked numerous times by Volkswagens(1960's bugs all n/a)(Must be the HP to weight ratio). They are performance and touring sedans. Therefore, I would advise you to look for a different car if you are interested in building a strip car.

As far as mods go,"Spend 10g's and have a Volkswagen that run's in the 11's or spend 10's and have a BMW that runs in the 12-13 bracket." Think about it, this logical, and completely feasible. Why because it's already been done.

Randy Sparre's car would DEFINITLY do mid-high 12s for SURE with slicks..i think he did even without the blower..just the M3 motor and mods...plus he had the 18s and low pros. BMW's can be made fast in a straight line..

I am arrogant because i want a more easier way and reliable way to tune my car? ha..we'll see whos car lasts longer then.

Fine show me the times. But isn't that what I said? Oh and BTW, my car is 14 yrs old, and I have had little if any problems with the motor and I have done major mods to the top end exhaust, intake and fuel system. If you are not happy w/ your e30, sell it and buy an e36.

My car is an 89 325 too..i LOVE the handling and the engine as it is...but when i want more power, i;d go the easier, and more reliable route. wouldnt u? or would u rather stay back in technology and get less power for more money?

You are misinformed on many topics, but after that last comment, I no longer feel the need to help you out by pointing out your inaccuracies.

Peace.

Do men start whining and crying on internet websites and making fun of ppl younger than them?

Your an adult who needs anger management.

Simply you are just angry, because me and mystikal are right on what he said, and proved you wrong.

YOU are like the last guy i'd call for modding cars...am i doing things wrong? im mearly following steps mainly all the famous E30 guys do...so why dont just relax with the comments, and what do u know about my job anyway?

Angry

Do I need the help or input of anyone here? NO, absolutely not. As far as being misinformed, WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? ARE YOU A FACTORY TRAINED BMW MECHANIC? ARE YOU EVEN A TECH? ARE YOU A TUNER? Are you ASE Certified? I have been working on my own cars and achieveing success doing so for the last 15 years. As far as anger management goes, kids that tend to piss on everything tend to piss me off, ESPECIALLY THINGS THAT THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF (LIKE THE AFM INJECTOR CONVERSION) I could give a crap about what your personal suggestions to me are. Good luck with your M50 conversion, you'll need it!!!! BTW, I have never solicited or required the assistance of anyone on this board. Latz, YOU KIDS SUCK!!!
