A question about the 318i ownership

my bro just bought a 1995 318i and on the ownership where it states the model it says U8A shouldn't it say 318i instead? does anyone know what this mean? or does anyone have this on their ownership too?
Life isn't about how many breaths you take, but the moments that takes your breath away.
Giving the government money and power is like giving a teenager whiskey and an M5.

The code on the ownership is for internal purposes at the ministry, The most important thing to check on the ownership is if it is branded - should say BRAND-NONE on the top of the vehicle portion and that the 17 digit VIN number is the same as on the vehicle in all three places.

Dash, "B" post-inside door jam and on the fire wall inside the engine.

But the ownership code should not be a concern your brother. It is something just the ministry uses
