Strange Acceleration

Occasionally when Im accelerating my car will pull then won't pull as hard then start goin normally again, I normally notice it in first or second (when I accelerate the hardest), it goes away after I shift.

I do need an air filter, the only other things I know my car needs is a driveshaft bearing and a paintjob

Anyway my buddy said it may be my o2 sensor, but Im pretty lost on what it could be.

Also my temp gauge does some weird stuff sometimes liek bounce around, and it never runs in the middle always on the colder side...

this is one of Ove Kvam's tips.

Get someone to watch your economy gauge while you're accelerating. If it suddenly moves to zero, then your ECU is signalling an fuel cut. This could indicate an AFM problem, like the flap is sticking, or the spring isn't moving smoothly. Maybe a connection is loose, or you need a new one altogether.

This is all assuming your econometer works properly of course.

Good luck!

I have a similar problem in my car.

Sometimes when I accelerate hard and shift into second gear, there is a brief but noticable drop in acceleration. It almost feels as if the clutch is quickly pressed and released. Its very noticable, but doesn't happen everytime.
