That depends on the style of rim you have to determine how easy the job is going to be, and how degraded the surface is pre-polish. If the condition is severe, you might consider having it done professionally. Otherwise, you could do it yourself with some polishing compound (I use Eagle One Mag/Chrome Aluminum Polish with excellent results) applied with a 100% cotton terry cloth towels. If your rim design has nooks and crannies, you might have to use a Dremel tool with polishing bits to get the job done effectively. I find this technique very effective on unclearcoated rims. Perhaps in a future Toronto meet, if you people allow, I will bring my Mazda with polished lips to show you first hand how spectacular the results can be. Good luck!
