weird fog lights!

Sometimes my fogs stay on after i have shut down the car, and i cant turn them off. They stay on for about 5 minutes and then eventually shut off. Also, when im driving and i press the fog light button it wont shut off. This doesnt happen all the time and it has only happened a few times, can you tell me whats wrong?

thanks!

I've read your post a few times, but I can't figure out what could be causing it.
Are they the stock foglights or aftermarket? Does it look like anyone tampered with the wiring?
I'm not sure if a relay is involved, but if there is, maybe it's stuck in the open or closed position.
I would honestly have a professional take a look at it, maybe even the dealer (I hate suggesting that but it might be your best bet)

thanks for the reply.

They are the stock foggies and im as confused as you are. When i start the car and press the foglight switch they blink on and off and either turn on or dont. If they dont, i'll have to keep on pressing the button to get them working.

i've just gotten used to turning off the foglights 5 minutes before i reach home

it drains the battery but it does look kinda cool walking away from the car with just the fogs on

Well, for starters, I'm going to blame the switch itself
if you can remove it, see if there is a loose connection, or corrosion anywhere. If you have some minor electronics experience, you can probably re-solder the loose connection, or if it's just corrosion, you can clean it off by lightly scraping it.
