Deer Hunting 2003
well since god hates me, the MNR gave me a week in Nov instead of Dec when everyone else gets to hunt.....bastards
so this being the week of puttin bambi to sleep, we head out bright & early at 3:30am....
we set up at the corner of a field against the forest line looking upon a nice block of land....
rained all day so our camo tent came in handy with its shotgun portholes lol, its funny to step back sometimes and laugh at the fact that you own all this gear to bag a deer lol ..... only had a tag for bucks so since god hates me, we had about 10 does chill by us throughout the day eating the apples and shit we thrw down days before.... I think i actually herd them laugh knowing we couldnt touch em. The bucks...where were they? about 150 yards downfield !DAMN!!!!.....1 young and 2 mature (big mofukas)..I wish I could use my rifle, 150 yards would be a joke...
all in all, didnt get shit all from 5am-6pm, gunna try again this wednesday
for all the other hunters in the rooms or fathers of people in this room who hunt, good luck

Sport Hunting is just Fu*ken sick. no-wonder nobody's replying to ur post.
As if the animals don't have enough sh*t to put up with: urbanization forcing them to new and quickly depleting habitats, and if they don't leave they die.
So ontop of that ... we have people who enjoy going up to the little space the animals have left.. and shooting them for sport
I recommend you watch the movie "THE HUNTED"
- find a new hobby

saw the movie 'The Hunted', and I fully understand your post...
I posted a thread here a while ago about my turkey hunt with the disclamer that bashing isnt needed, but everyone has their own opinion and I should have know that posting something like this would get a bad reaction on a car forum where it doesnt even fit with the topic...
Sorry about the content of this post if it offends you in any way, but just to inform you, I am a fully ethical hunter in that I eat the game I hunt and I have been fully trained by government assigned coarses I try to put the animal down in one shot without the animal struggling or feeling a extended period of pain....
it is a sport and I know how many people feel about this...sorry for posting and you wont see this on maxbimmer again from me

one more thing
from your post I assume you wish hunting would be banned, and I can see why you think that way...but as long as it isn't I know of people poching animals out of season and doing some really f*cking cruel things to them that go way way way beyond putting one down quickly with a shotgun for a period of 1 week per year...
almost 40% of hunters are proceeding to act unethical and do some very bad things, for this I would even like to see hunting banned here....those 40% make ethical sport hunter look like total sh*t....
i've hunted in europe, specifically, slovenia, and things are very different there. helping land owners get rid of prey that are feeding on their farm animals, controlling population in certain areas where the vegatation has almost fully depleted and without getting into details, if you are caught poching or hunting unethically, you go straight to jail for a min. of almost 10 years..

I eat meat... i worked/sometimes work in the meat dept at loblaws and with the amount of meat that goes old everyday, i think we're killing enough animals as it is.
Sorry if i sounded harsh, but i just don't think hunting is necessary anymore, afterall the animals have sucha fu*ked up habitat and messed up lifestyle already.
Don't get me wrong, if it was necessary, i would be all "for" hunting, we ARE on the top of the food chain right?!?... but let the wildlife live man, but i do respect the fact that you eat what you kill, as unnecessary as it may be

Unless you're a vegetarian, I dont think its fair to say anything bad to sloveniaboy... as long as he really does eat his kills (didnt know ppl eat deer, but whatever)
I mean, honestly, do you think when you eat a hamburger that the cow died of natural causes? No, it was slaughtered.

My buddy started this weekend seeing how hunting opened on the 1st. He's huge on hunting, took 16 days off work to go hunting....if he gets his buck the first day, what is he supposed to do for the next 15 days.. . Next year he plans to buy a $2000 dollar gun to go hunting...y spend 2 g's...And also he was looking at a $1200 scope...that's just sick .Guess it's his pashion beside's fishing......I was never a big fan on hunting but at least they limit it to one buck a year....and not 20...
