Wet Sanding

Looking for experienced advice.... I have original paint on my E30 and was wondering what is the best way to bring the shine back. Last year I had the car deatiled where they completly stripped off the old wax cleaned. resealed, and waxed the car. I was watching a show and they were showing wet sanding.

can this be done to my car?
Where can I get it done?
has anyone had this done to their car and do you recommend it?

Any info is appreciated.

"Wet sanding" is usually used to take out small scratches, inpurities on the car's surface by using 1200-2000 grit sandpaper, then finalizing it with a polish.

This will only work if a scratch is no deeper than the clearcoat. I really do not see how it could be done to the whole car since it's a VERY time consuming task. If you want to get your paint restored, take your car to a professional detailing shop, and make them detail your car.

wet sanding takes a long time. It took me 13hours to do a car
last week at the shop..problem with that is that some times you can damage your paint..if you dont change the water frequently,keep the car cleen and wet, the sandpaper will drag little particles of dirt across the the paint and scratch the car.
if it is done right it will turn out awsome though
