that's what i was worry about which means that i have to check mine too ... it's probably as bad or worst condition .....
but good thing i just got the bentley manual too yesterday ...
If you dont mind, please post the MicroFilter change instructions in the FAQ section and help out the DIY guys with no bentley manuals. I want to do change my MF too.
i pick up this one from CT special order, i don't know if any better than the one from the dealer but surely it's a bit cheaper. the bill came out to 23.40+txs.
i just found something interesting that the E30 air filter for the air intake is the same for the 7 series ....
finally i got time to do this ... thank god the hydro is back ...
it is such a pain to replace one of these filter ..... i hope they're good for 10 years .... but very little tools need it. i guess the pain was that you can't really see what's going on behind the console where the filter seat you just sort of feel it. don't forget to wipe behind there... there is a lot of craps dirt ...
do it fast 45 min that's not knowing where it is ....
do it slow i can imagine 1.5 hr max ...
a couple good things is that i found what was rattling behind there all the time now it's stop, breath fresh clean air and get rid off smells, all screws are now tighter than before.
Haha you finally got around to changing it eh. If you use your ac much you'll find it much colder and no more foggy windows when it rains. Thats what I noticed anyway.
p.s. I think it has to be changed every couple of years.
