Why did this Mustang GT have to devirginize me?

Never raced. Ever. I recently read my manual again and it said never go over 3k RPM in my car in 1st..thus I never have.

Had to go pick up da pizza; btw, two chicks I knew gave it to me, I never knew they worked there, I told 'em to call me up

since I leave on Friday. So I'm making a casual right turn on to the busy road and saw what looked like a pontiac coming up and I thought nothing of it but saw shiny rims...I looked over and BAM 40 yr old African American in passenger seat laughing with driver.

It passes me and I see Mustang on back with a GT decal in upper left. I don't see that famous Mustang GT bumper though..instead it was removed and there were these pipes with blue lines around them

. No, this car wasn't riced out, next light, we're behind a few cars and I pull away hearing his car roaring behind a slow ass pos.

No, that wasn't the race :az: Next light, I'm in front, he's right behind me, driver was 30 yr old African American. I swear there was a pontiac symbol in the front of their car. Getting closer to next light, and of course I switch lanes so he can stay in his and we line up. :evil2

This road is 45 mph, but he was ready to go Mach 1. I had my music high and gave a glance, they were talking. But I'm in a BMW, you gotta gimme mine and show me that sweet ride you got and challenge me up.

BAM GREEN! we both hesitated then I punched 1st and went to 3k RPM; he was close to my bumper and as I was shifting, he all of a sudden unleashed hell and just took my shifter and put it in R as he flew up to at least 80, since I never pass speed limit I was always at 45 - 50 and knew I couldn't catch up. I saw his brake lights and was gonna give him thumps up..but too far away :help .

I got killed.

Anyway, his car sounded JUST LIKE THE LINGNFELTER TT ENGINE!...however, how come I hear no BOV from the lingenfelter engine in the videos??? this guy had no BOV either, thus made it sound like it was supercharged....who knows what else he had under the hood!!!

Mustang GT's stock are no slouch.
Yes, they're heavy, and handle like a Greyhound, but they do have a V8 in them, so they do move. Mid 14's isn't out of the ordinary for those cars, properly driven.

Drivers being equal, stock, a GT should beat a 325.

The aftermarket parts for Mustang V8's is huge.
Doesn't take much to add a few ponies to them on top of that. Low 14's is just a few bolt-on's away.

Seems that lately, some of you guy's feel that GT's are easy pickings. If you catch someone who can't race properly, you may be lucky and beat one. Drivers being equal, a GT should edge out anything short of a 330ci.

Ugh, I KNEW I was going to lose, please don't get the impression I had every intention of beating a car that probably had 400 hp to the wheels.

go to 6k rpm? kinda hard when I redline at 4500

my manual says nothing about shifting before 3000 k in firsts.. just not to redline it too often.

OK. I hate American Fords but must confess, I love the (even the stock) sound of a Mustang engine.

I own a 1998 mustang gt with a 4.6 2v with heads and a cam, Borla exhaust,3.73 rear end Bullitt intake all polished and ported to the heads. and I am pulling 370 horse at the wheels, then I have a 125 shot and I am pulling low 11's in the quarter. so a 400 horse mustang without a super charger is not a myth. Now combine all I have done with a 12 psi ati procharger and you are pushing close to 600 horse. The cobra of the same year has close to 330 horse bone stock. My next project is my wifes v-6 mustang
to get 300 horse.

A well tuned mustang, can take on pretty much anything that's in its way. The driver counts a lot too.
