Question fitting 6x9 speakers in E30

How do you guys fit 6x9 rear speakers in your E30s ?? I do not have a large enough opening, and "roof" of the trunk does not allow the magnet to drop deep enough. Should I just take a Dremmel and "make" it large enough. Is there any other way ? Thanks.

yeah there is another way make a custom box but dude what the hell do you want 6X9's for any way. got 6.5" they are way better for one reason on a 6 by nine the one side the six inch ones will rise faster than the nine side cause the nine side is longer hense uneven rise. this is no good trust me go 6.5 and they fit right in give good bass and midrange.

I wouldn't even bother with the rear.. put your money up front where it counts, id do a nice 6 inch component set with tweets in the door pods. And if you want bass you can buy a 10" sub with an amp for about $400 it will blow away the 6x9's
