Here's a thought.. correct me if I'm wrong.

Any bimmers in and before 1995 were built in and exported from europe. After that point they were made in the US. Maybe this is the reason why? Maybe the m3's were always built in Europe, regardless of age. any ideas anyobdy? this is just something I was told and have no way whatsoever to back this theory up.

It lights up if you screw around with mileage wiring on the pod and the computer.

Z3s and X5s are built in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is a really cool place to visit if you get the chance, the museum is awesome.

i wanna upgrade to indiglo guages anyways and i all i see them in is mph with tiny km/h numbers too. I might just opt to get that if i can't find one made for euro or canadian km/h

Yeah, the bigger overall diameter of the wheel you go, the more your speedo will be off. Not sure by how much mine is off, but its off.

bliss,
some magazines say that bimmer speedos are off when on normal rims.... i think the needle indicates that you're faster than u really are above 80 or something.....so maybe it's right now on your car
