Arrow Followup: Bosch Platinum +4's

Well it's been 6 months since i put the bosch platinum +4's in my 325i e36.

1st impressions: the car roars like never before, and it seemed to give a slight performance gain. Gas mileage actually was worse with these in, and it seemed to stall the car just a bit when first stepping on the gas. (nothing too bad, but there's more...)

today...

Final impressions: Well that was 6 months ago, and today i decided to look at my spark plugs as i wanted to put my NGK's back in to try them out (for better gas mileage). I took out the bosch's and they were COVERED in soot! They were burnt black, and were all gummed up! One didn't even look like it was firing properly at all
I have lately been noticing a bad performance loss, and couldn't figure out where it was comming from, but it was from these darn plugs! I switched back to my NGK's from the dealer, and the car is running smooth as ever! I can really feel it behind the wheel how much smoother the car runs. I dont even get any more backfiring when engine braking.

All in all, i thought i liked the bosch's alot, but now that i see how poorly they were actually running, i'm glad i took them out.

Thankfully bosch is offering to give me a refund of my money if i mail them back to them.

How is everyone's impressions of the NGK platinums?

errr...

well, I've been loyal to bosch fer so long and never had that problem and even seen Plat.+4's in other peoples cars and seen no problem. Maybe something happen to yer engine but hopefully not!

One thing I've learned is always use the proper sparkplug recomended by the Manufacturer aswell!, unless you know what yer doing!

Now I'm running Brisk Hi-performance plugs special from europe and they work great. They are distributed by Prenco corp. and I sell them at work. only thing, $$$.

i have bosch 4s in my car. they seem to run ok, but they were in the car when i bought it, so i have no basis for comparison. after reading this im going to put in the stock NGKs and see what the difference is. i know that nothing works better in my dirt bike and snowmobile than the stock NGKs. they are such good plugs!
