magnaflow 11378 exhaust

Anyone installed one of these on an e36 ?

I'm just looking to save weight, and have a decent exhaust without paying an arm and a leg.

Now that I think about it I should be looking at what people are putting on S54's as I am running a euro S50B32.

Large single input, dual input one out, dual in, dual out ?

I have this on my car dual in dual out. its really light compared to anything else out there. Its a bit loud but I'm not sure if that's due to the rest of my exhaust/engine (headers, dual 2.5" with x-pipe and an s54...)

My setup wouldn't be much different.

S50B32, dual pipes with cats.

What did you do about the tips, Does magnaflow make tips for these ?

You can pick any tips you like. I went with dual 3.5" double wall but I'm going to switch them up. Just going to use some 2.5" piping stretch it out to 3" and slash cut them at 45 degrees.

these are my tips

So they make a slightly longer one a 12468, which I presume would be a bit quieter ?

Why did you go with the 11378 ?

I was looking for a dual 2.5" in/out and this is what I found. I doubt that difference in length will make any effect volume. Magnaflow mufflers are petty much straight through mufflers so they tend to be louder. If you're running cats then it shouldn't be too bad.

I guess the tips can't be re-used ? Why don't you like them?

They can be re-used. I just want something different. I'd like to get some single walled tips on as its a little more subtle.
