If Yes, you need a new battery and you need to stop going to that..."mechanic" would be the wrong word... individual.

A huge number of ills are caused by a bad battery and ... mechanics ... who can't run a voltmeter will run around in circles changing ancillary stuff like voltage regulators and alternators and starters which appear sick when the battery is terminal. (Harh!)
Would still be smart to check the grounds. As Aviator said, when grounds go bad all sorts of bad, mysterious and intermittent things happen. Your car is a bit too new for bad grounds but it's certainly worth checking. You've already done the positive connections, right?

Please let us know how it works out.

So it turns out, all the other car needed was a new battery.
I picked up an 09 135im sport since this.
Fastforward to today.I took my 135 into bmw london because the check engine light was coming on my 09 bmw 135i.I scanned it myself and I was getting codeP0012, camshaft position sensor retarded.
The dealership called me and told me that the oilfilter housing cage was missing?and that the oil filter had dissinigrated and went through the engine.it damaged the vanos solenoids and some other parts which I didnt hear because I was so pissed off.the tech then told me that none of this was covered under the CPO because of the oilcage was not replaced by whoever did the previous oilchange.
REWIND.This is where this ****tard comes into play again.I should have learned my lesson from his previous "work"that he had performed.I was out of the province a couple of months back and the car needed an oilchange.
I always do my own oilchanges but my wife was going to be using my car and I didnt want to be running dirty oil.I told her to call the dealership and book an appt.it was going to take 3 weeks to get an appointment.she said why dont we get pierre at xxxxxx to do it if we buy the oil and filter? I agreed and he did the oilchange the next day.
She called me that night and told me he did the oilchange but had 2 litres of oil left over.wtf.shr went out and checked the oil on the car and it was reading low.she proceeded to add almost the whole 2 "extra" litres.
So now I have a $1200 repair bill.I realize I should have never let this incompetant retard even look at my car again but I have never found any decent indy shops here in London, and i was on the other side of Canada.fool me once, shame on you.fool me twice shame on me.
I am going down to his shop tmrw to have a chat with him.is there any recourse in regards to this?

I doubt you'd recover your costs via small claims court, and staying angry is pointless.

Do I win a cookie? I'll be in London beginning of October.

I thought about suing him in small claims but nothing will probably happen.im still gonna have a "chat" with him tommorow.all of the work he has done on my vehicles has been done for "cash"? I might be able to use this as leverage?
