Alignment in Oakville/Mississauga for E39 M5

Where do I go except the dealer, that can do a proper job? I don't have much time during the week, so it can't be far away.

I just had my wife's M5 done at CT. They did a good job, car runs straight. Same issue, no time to take it anywhere. CT is across my work, dropped it off in the morning, picked it up a couple of hours later. 90$.

If you're willing to go to Etobicoke, then Altech Automotive (416-231-1611) at Olivewood and Kipling would be your best bet. The proprietor's name is Pat and he is definitely a Bimmer guy. His price for an alignment is very reasonable. He can do it while you wait. Just make an appointment. Saturdays always worked best for me.

Proper alignments are hard to get done around here. I only know of three shops I would trust: Pan Auto (Markham), Can-Alignment (Milton), IAC Tech (Woodbridge). I have used all three over the years depending on convenience. and have nothing but positive things to say.

Pan Auto did my M5 in June, and E46 last year.

Took her E39 to CT?!?! Did they give you a print out of the specs?

There is much more to an alignment than tracking straight. My old man's E93 was done at BMW. Tracked perfectly straight, yet destroyed all four of his tires over two summers. When I threw it up on the rack last month @ Porsche, the numbers were beyond ****ed. Toe was so out of wack and the car was dog-tracking.

If you value your tires and car, get a proper four wheel alignment done with specs printed out before and after.

I have hardly the time to drive around like I used to. Convenience above all lately it seems.
I've been to Pan am before, wasn't the best experience but would go back.

Got it done at Altech. Made an appointment first thing this morning. Came at specified time and they actually started on time. Was in and out in 1hr. Helped that the car was super easy to work on as nothing was seized

Good price too, will go again.

Thanks for all the replies!!

No, literally beside the Petro Canada (same parking lot).

Do they do only BMW's? Would he do it on a VW?

Bumping this thread just to say that I took my GTI to Albert's Auto in Mississauga; Martin did an excellent job with my alignment and is a very knowledgable mechanic in general. I'd suggest him for more than just alignment work actually, and he's central for Mississauga people.

Highly recommended!!!

I'd like to support the local businesses. I just installed Eibach's and will give Martin a call this week to get my ride all square. As long as there is before/after report I'll be happy with Martin. Maybe he can do a smoke test while it's there.
