I wanted a oil change done on my diesel bimmer. I asked what oil they used. They said total. Total what? They gave me the wrong specifications and would used the wrong oil. Stay away unless what you are asking to do is "standard.".

We use Total Lubricants oil as well as Fuchs and Liquimoly. We carry LL01 for gas vehicles and LL04 for diesel vehicles. What is wrong with the oil carried?

Interesting enough regarding this oil situation....you can ask Auto Camping, and Altrom and Worldpac (Who I know us and the other sponsors use) that myself Jon from Bimmersport notified our sales reps (Sasa from AC, Albert (BMW Parts specialist) from AC, Paco (who is in charge of the oil and lube sales) as well as Dieter and Thomas from AC, Zoran from Altrom and even Chris the national account manager of Liquimoly USA) of this issue and thus their lines changed to accomodate BMW LL01 oil. Feel free to contact any of them with my name.

I am always up to date on technical standards, on top of that only myself and Moe answer the phones and we are very clear asking if you have a gas or diesel 335/x5 for this specific reason.

Thanks for your inquiry and have a good one.

John,

I have vented enough in the past of the service I got. Just FYI, the screw you used as a plug in the dipstick drain hole was too small and let go. Dont worry, I got another shop to fix it properly.

Your shop is friendly and you have all the connections to schmooze all day long, but the service aspect is rushed and left me still a little miffed. It's not a good representation in Toronto, in my opinion, for Active Autowerkes reputation and service excellence.

Have a good one.

If you haven't because it seems like you have a lot of steam, come let it out at Bimmercruise and I will be happy to help you get it off your chest. If not any other meet is fine.

Trust me, if I had more time like I asked maybe it wouldn't have been rushed but I had to meet your deadline despite me having to fix the entire mess in your vehicle. From the signal line requiring 1k ohm resistor which you stated it had (but I had to check for myself, since you were wrong and I found more than 10 crimps in the line as well as it not even being connected properly to the crimps just the tape was holding it all together). If you did not ask for your wife to pick you up, drive you here and waste an hr or more of your time when I did not even confirm it would be ready then I wouldn't have paid $80 from my pocket (not from bimmersport's) for you to get home.

Hope you have a good one too, and I am looking forward to seeing you this summer so that way you can express what you are saying in this thread and the texts to me in person. I am not threatening you, but I find it really low to just complain behind a keyboard...maybe in my earlier high school days it was fine. I'm done in this thread.

I agree.
We have a difference of opinion of the situation, and I'm certain we can resolve it off the forum, pm me and we can discuss it, or I can drop by.
While my crimping of lines was poor and should have been soldered, I shouldn't have other shops sorting other work that had nothing to do with me. I discussed openly what was done for the installation, and hid nothing.
Custom cars are a bitch to work on and sort, and I don't envy the techs with that, especially when you didn't install the kit.

I apologize. I called a different vendor that has a similar name. They did not say the same thing that you did. I'm glad that you know your oils. Cheers.

Happens more times than you think! When someone calls 5 different shops and forgets who they are dealing with...According to some people; at some point this year i was in Mexico (when i haven't left the country in 2 years), and i told someone to "leave my driveway" when they called me, in front of my shop...and supposedly i called them back asking to come back! Oh and not to forget all the people who call and ask to speak with Chuck...or Tom...

But how else can you signify that your shop specializes in BMWs?
