Tell me more about this wrap stuff. I don't want to do the whole car. Just some rusty spots on the winter beater. I want to do the bodywork then wrap those parts.

Is this stuff just self adhesive vinyl? Where can I get a roll of something 16 inches wide? Are there different shades of silver?

Thanks

So is the JB4 more creditable these days? 3 years ago I had installed one on my friends 335i and some of the mappings actually lost power over stock and others were very minimal gains. We were doing comparisons at the time with COBB tuning in Austin when they were releasing their new tune for the 335 at the time.

Again this was 3 years ago, I would think a lot has changed since then as we were excited to hit 372 crank / 308whp with the COBB Stage III. JB4 was barely breaking 360 crank.

No vinyl wrap. I do real carbon fiber wrapping.... Not the stuff to cover rusty parts.... Not cheap either..... But beautiful when done.

Thanks

Much more I understand. The new JB4 G5 ISO is excellent tune and they are duno'ing 365 to the wheels with map1 running 91 octane stock system. They have a back-end tune now that works with 93 octane and a stock system putting 400 to the wheels.... more if you start adding new FMIC, CAI and blow-off as I've done... Going to load back-end flash and should be putting down around 430 to wheels. Problem is finding a 4 wheel dyno......

Just installed the AA Race FMIC.... Here are the final engine pictures..... until the Racing Dynamics Carbon fiber valve cover arrives....

Trying to decide if I should change the center grill over the FMIC........ Something more aggressive; metal.....

Cool - I found a place not to far from where I live. They sell many different types of vinyl including stuff for vehicle graphics. I was suprised how inexpensive this stuff is. I bought the premium brand only because it matched the paint very closely.

I did some repairs to this bumper and wrapped the bottom half. I think it looks pretty good!

Good job!!... I like the vinyl wrap for exterior wrapping of solid colours..... Hate the Carbon Vinyl; looks so cheesy compared to real CF.... But for your application; its perfect! Good job on the wrap BTW!!

Thanks - this stuff is pretty tricky. I need to get my wife or one of my kids to help hold the heat gun.

Just ordered my H&R Coilovers.. cant wait to receive. I might wait till I put on the summer tires until I install.... We'll see... Need to paint the calipers this spring. They've never been painted before..... going with red as per my usual....

Also ordered the Bavarian Tech OBDII cable and going to install the Bimmerboost back-end flash as soon as it arrives... Together with the JB4 and my mods, I will be getting somewhere around 410bhp at 14.5ibs boost... If I go catless DPs, I should be get around 425bhp. Then brakes.... LOL

Had to replace the read recently.... It was actually harder to find, than the actual installation although there wasnt much space to work

The old rad looked like this:

Also installed the H&R Coilovers recently as well: No Major dis-assembly as many have suggested. We just removed the primary bolt from the base of the strut and the stabilizer link and that was it...

Lowered with new wheels (originals were bent badly and had to be replaced).
New wheels have since been refinished and painted black like the originals,, but no pictures of them yet.

Oh jeez! Stance is just right.... Looks Awesome!

I like the silver wheels. Remind's me of my all black 540i sport with the style 5 (silver). Looking forward to your next set of pix.

How does it drive/ride vs stock?
