Unfortunately that area has the most E60s 535i's & 550i's per square mile in GTA. Worst offender which shall remain nameless, the young chap in the showroom had a drink going at about 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday, a real drink, like whiskey. We're talking Madmen without the cool part. I asked about the 550is he grunted and pointed me towards 2 of them. I sat in them, then said where's the other 4 you have? He made an excuse about snow, weather, blah, and then told to look at them on the internet. The height of laziness. I show up to look at cars and they say look on the internet instead please, sir. I left.
Today i went back because there is a new one there, and I asked to drive it. Oh no, sir, you have to have a deposit down on it before that. So i need to buy it before i drive it i said. Well no but you have to understand our position, anyone can walk in and say i want to drive this. I reminded him i was there 2 weeks ago and of his behaviour then. He wasn't impressed. I left.
No kidding - I went shopping there about 10 years ago when I was looking for a 540. They had some deals, but somehow something didn't feel right. I later heard a rumour that most of their cars were written off in Quebec and could be registered in Ontario, clean.... not sure if that is true or if something has changed.
I bought that 540 from a guy named Val... VLS motors which was a block away from Keele and Finch. I wish he was still there. He only sold BMW. The car I bought turned out to be rock solid for the 3 years I had it.
E39 528i Touring - Unicorn Package (5 Spd M)
E39 M5 - for Sunny Days
Now that is interesting. Now things are starting to make sense. More than half of the cars i looked at in the GTA where originally from or ended up in Quebec on the carproof. And at Town & Country the salesman told me in a thinly veiled way, be very careful of any Quebec cars, they are worth less.
Windwagen where the heck did you find your unicorn?
