Yup, gorgeous, or a red on same interior...

This one??? I saw this one at a local Volvo show couple years back.

Always been a fan of Volvos, the only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fwd part lol. I had a 850 turbo before I bought my 540i and it was a blast to drive. Even though it was an old car, definitely got a load of attention on the road. I wouldn't have a problem getting into another Volvo again. Currently trying to find one for my mom actually. She had a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, nothing but problems. Biggest pos I've ever seen!

I always felt those Volvos are on the slow side. My neighbor has a V70R with a stick. Same generation as the blue one. I was really excited when he told me about it.... 300 HP after all. At the time I was driving a 540.... I dunno.... BMW must underrate their motors because the 540 would eat this thing alive!

I remember my father looking at 540i's in 1997, the Budds salesman took us for a test drive and pinned it in a stick 540i for us, Christ I thought a bomb went off. It was so much faster than any other car we had ever owned. Of course he didn't buy it, came down to size for a family of 5, and thus he came home with a 1997 Explorer.

The R's are AWD! The best Volvos are RWD and AWD.

Has anyone driven both an B7 (05-06-07) Audi S4 and a E60 535i. Contrast 'em if you have.

What model of the E91's did you drive? Not sure if budget would support, but check out the F31's.

My neighbour is the GM for Pfaff Audi ... he recommended I shy away from both the older Audi's and wasn't really hot on the newer all roads when we were looking for my wife's car.

In the end it came down to a V70r and F31 touring with the full M package. One back-to-back test drive of the volvo and the Bimmer blew the Volvo right off our list. And this is after I had already negotiated a killer price on the Volvo.

We've been loving the F31 ... it is a little smaller than I would have liked, but the ride is great.

I drove 6 E91 tourings, 5 auto, 1 stick. half with sport pack, half without. Suspension on them are the same though, as Xdrive's don't get the lowered suspension. Ride was very lumpy compared to my 540i, but i could get over that if i found the options and the colours i want:
Blue/ Saddle or cream beige
White / Saddle or cream
Black / Oyster
all with the sport pack, navi, satellite tuner and steering heater.
And of course an M-pack i would throw out most of the want list to get.

Opes your Touring is beautiful, i love it. F31 not in the budget right now though.
Wes

Just out of curiosity, how would the resale be on the wagons? Is it harder to sell just because it's a wagon? What do you guys think?

Thanks guys. The F31 really is great.

Pity that you can't the 3.0 turbo diesel with a 6 speed here, like Europe and Asia.

So how much dough are you willing to spend? Check out the Tesla model S. Not quite a wagon, but pretty close.....
